The National Eligibility Test NET 2018, also known as UGC NET or CBSE NET, is a test  used to determine the eligibility of students for college and university level lecturership and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals.

 Central Board of Secondary Education going to conduct  the National Eligibility Test NET 2018 on 08th July 2018. The exam wiill be conduct in 84 subjects at 91 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country.

After the result decleration the no. of candidates who clear the NET successfully would be eligible for jobs in public sector undertakings (PSUs).

The National Eligibility Test NET 2018 qualification is divided into the following steps:

  • tudents have  to get minimum qualifying marks with aggregate 55% marks to General and 50% to others in master’s degree.
  • Students have to attempt two papers – Paper 1 & 2. The students would have to attempt total 150 questions in 3 Hours both paper 1 &2.
  • If you score more than the cutoff marks in the exam you will be declared qualified for JRF.
  • Top 6% candidates will be selected for each subject and category eligibility for Assistant Professor only if they haven’t applied for JRF.

From net qualified students, a list of JRF will be prepared & themerit list prepared by using a formula.
